Claude for business

Set up Claude for your business with rules your team can follow

Claude is the AI assistant made by Anthropic. Many of your people may already use it on personal accounts. We move them onto a company plan and write plain rules for what data goes in. Then we connect it to HubSpot, so reps can ask about their accounts in plain English.

Free, 30 minutes, and you'll leave with at least one clear next step.

What is Claude for business?

Anthropic sells Claude on personal plans, like Pro and Max, and on Team and Enterprise plans for companies. Team suits smaller companies that want one bill and an admin who manages who's in. Enterprise includes everything in Team, plus the controls IT and compliance teams ask for.

On data, Anthropic says it doesn't train its models on data from its commercial products unless a company chooses to share it. Personal accounts follow different terms. That's the main reason we move teams onto a company plan before we connect anything.

Should you choose Claude Team or Enterprise?

Anthropic's help pages list what each plan adds. Check Anthropic's pricing page for current seat prices.

Team fits when

  • One owner can add and remove people by hand
  • Owners decide which connectors, like HubSpot, the company adds
  • IT isn't asking for audit logs or automatic user setup
  • You want a company plan running quickly with little admin

Enterprise fits when

  • IT wants people added and removed automatically through SCIM
  • Someone needs audit logs of who did what
  • You need custom rules on how long chats are kept
  • Finance wants spend limits per company and per person
  • Security asks for encryption keys you control
What we do

How do teams like yours use it?

Some of these use the HubSpot connector. Others only need Claude and a file.

A buyer comparing price lists

Uploads a supplier's new price list next to the old one and asks which items went up more than 5%. Gets a table to check before repricing.

An office manager picking a vendor

Uploads three quotes as PDFs, asks Claude to line up price, timing and terms, and drafts the reply to the vendor she picks.

A sales rep before a big meeting

Asks for every past deal and open opportunity with that customer in HubSpot, plus notes from the last three meetings.

A support lead looking for patterns

Asks what this week's HubSpot tickets were mostly about and drafts a short fix list for the operations team.

How does Claude connect to HubSpot and your other systems?

Through MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, a standard way for AI tools to talk to other software. HubSpot built an official Claude connector on its MCP server. Each person signs in with their own HubSpot login and sees only what HubSpot already lets them see. That page covers what the connector can read and change.

Claude also supports custom connectors. If your order or billing history sits in another system, a custom connector or a custom AI workflow can bring it within reach, with the same kind of permission limits.

How it works

How do we roll out Claude at your company?

  1. Pick the plan and move people over

We help you choose Team or Enterprise, set up the company account and move anyone using a personal account for work onto it.

  2. Write the data rules

One page, in plain words. What's fine to paste in, what needs a manager's OK and what never goes in. Files that can't go to any AI company are a job for private AI.

  3. Tighten HubSpot permissions, then connect

Claude sees what each person can see in HubSpot. If every user can see every deal today, Claude can too. We fix roles and teams first, then a Super Admin approves the connector.

  4. Ask before every change

HubSpot recommends setting the connector's write actions to needs approval, so Claude asks before it updates a record. We set that for everyone and check it in training.

  5. Train the team on their own work

We write ten or so tested questions for sales, service and operations, using your own records, then run a live session and answer questions.

What does Claude never do on its own in our setup?

These are the defaults we start with. You can make them stricter.

  • Change a HubSpot record without the person approving it.
  • Send an email to a customer. Claude drafts it, and the person sends it from their own inbox.
  • Touch pricing, discounts or contract terms in HubSpot.
  • Make bulk changes. Anything bigger than a handful of records goes through a proper import that we check.
  • Show anyone a record they couldn't already open in HubSpot.

Where does your data go?

When someone asks Claude about an account, the connector fetches only the HubSpot records that person can already open. HubSpot says Anthropic doesn't use what you share through the connector to train its models, except in cases like when you give feedback or opt in. Every change Claude makes shows up in HubSpot's audit log under both the person and the connector.

In our experience, the bigger risk sits outside HubSpot. It's staff pasting customer lists and pricing into free personal AI accounts because no one gave them a safe option. The company plan and the one-page rules fix that.

When don't you need us for this?

If you have a small team, HubSpot permissions you trust and someone comfortable in settings pages, you can follow HubSpot's help article and connect Claude in an afternoon.

Bring us in when permissions are loose, when many people need access with different rules or when you want Claude to reach data outside HubSpot. If you're still deciding which AI tools to use at all, start with AI consulting or an AI readiness assessment.

Get your team on Claude with the right rules in place

On the call we'll ask how your team uses AI today, look at how tight your HubSpot permissions are and tell you what to set up first.

Examples by industry

Teams use Claude differently depending on the business. These pages go deeper.

  • Manufacturing: comparing supplier quotes and pulling account history before calls.
  • Distribution: checking price list changes before repricing.
  • Ecommerce: finding patterns in support tickets.
FAQ

Claude for business questions

Do staff on personal Claude accounts need to switch?

For work, yes. Personal plans follow Anthropic's consumer terms, and the company can't see or control them. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an admin manages who's in, which connectors they can use and when someone leaves.

Does Anthropic train its models on our business data?

Anthropic says it doesn't train its models on data from its commercial products, which include the Team and Enterprise plans, unless your company opts in to share it.

What does Claude Enterprise add over the Team plan?

According to Anthropic, Enterprise includes everything in Team plus audit logs, SCIM user provisioning, custom data retention, admin spend limits and customer-managed encryption keys. Companies with IT or compliance teams usually need it.

What should staff never paste into Claude?

Your company decides, and we help you write it down. Common picks are passwords, customer bank or card details and anything a contract says can't go to a third party. Cost details and customer margins often need a manager's OK first.

Who at our company should own Claude?

Two people. An admin who adds and removes users and manages connectors, often your HubSpot admin. And a business lead, often in sales or operations, who keeps the data rules current and collects the questions that work.

Should we pick Claude or ChatGPT for our team?

HubSpot offers connectors for both, and both run on HubSpot's MCP server. We set up either one, and some teams use both. We usually test a few of your team's questions in each before you decide.
