Email and SMS marketing

An email marketing agency for Klaviyo and HubSpot, judged on orders and deals

We build the automatic emails and texts that run every day in Klaviyo or HubSpot, then the campaigns on top. Every send is judged on the orders and deals it brings in.

Free, 30 minutes, and you'll leave with at least one clear next step.

The problems we see

Where email money gets left on the table

Email reaches people who already know you, and it's the easiest thing to neglect. These are the gaps we see most.

The automated emails were set up once and forgotten

A welcome email and an abandoned cart email went live years ago. They haven't been touched since, and half the links point to products you no longer sell.

Everyone gets the same email

A first-time buyer, a loyal customer and your biggest account all get the same weekly blast. Unsubscribes climb and the emails start landing in spam.

Leads go quiet after the first call

A lead asks for a quote or a proposal, gets one, and then hears nothing for months. The emails that keep the conversation going were never planned.

The email tool can't see the orders

Lists are built by hand from exports. The email platform doesn't know what a customer bought, so it can't send the right follow-up.

What do you build if you sell online?

For online stores, the work starts with the automatic emails and texts that go out without anyone pressing send. These are called flows. A welcome series greets new subscribers. Cart and browse reminders go to people who looked but didn't buy. A post-purchase series sets expectations and asks for a review. A reorder series goes out when people usually run low, and a win-back series reaches customers who have drifted away.

We write the copy, design the emails to match your brand, set the timing and the rules for who gets what, and test the parts that move the numbers most, like subject lines, offers and send timing. On top of the flows, we plan the campaigns, such as launches, restocks, holidays and sales, on a calendar you can see weeks ahead.

Texts get the same care. SMS works well for urgent messages and your best customers. It works badly when it's used like a second inbox. We set rules so people don't get an email and a text saying the same thing an hour apart.

For First Stop Fashion, we run ads, email and texts together. Online sales more than doubled from 2024 to 2025.

Should we use Klaviyo or HubSpot for email?

Both are good tools, and the right one depends on how you sell. Klaviyo is made for online stores. It has deep Shopify data, strong flow tools and SMS in the same place. HubSpot is a CRM with email built in. It works best when email is one part of a bigger sales and service process, with reps, deals, tickets and accounts in the same system.

Many businesses that only sell online are best served by Klaviyo. Businesses that also sell through reps, run a service team or have a retail store often get more from having everything in HubSpot. Charlie Hustle moved customer service, email and SMS out of separate tools, including Klaviyo, and into one HubSpot account. Its customer lists now build themselves from order data, and its Missouri list grew by more than 2,600%.

We work in both, so we'll tell you which fits on the call. If you keep both, we set clear rules about which tool emails which customers so they don't double up.

How does email work when you sell through a sales team?

When a sale runs through a rep, email does a different job. That's true for a professional services firm, a manufacturer or a software company. Email keeps your name in front of buyers during long decisions, follows up on quotes and proposals, and tells sales when someone is ready to talk. You can see examples for manufacturers, construction companies and online brands.

In HubSpot, we build emails for new leads and follow-ups after a quote or a proposal goes out. We build emails that wake up old customers and quiet deals, plus sequences that reps send from their own inbox. Each one is tied to deal stages, so the emails stop when a rep takes over. Our HubSpot page explains the setup behind it.

How it works

How an email engagement runs

  1. Weeks 1 to 2

    Review what you have

We look at your current flows, campaigns, list health, whether emails reach the inbox, and the revenue or deals each one brings in.

  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Fix the foundation

Email domain settings, list cleanup, sign-up forms and the data connection to Shopify or HubSpot.

  3. Weeks 3 to 6

    Build the core flows

Welcome, cart and browse reminders, post-purchase and win-back for stores. New-lead emails and quote follow-up for sales teams.

  4. Monthly

    Run campaigns and test

A campaign calendar, regular tests and a monthly report on revenue or deals from email, in plain English.

FAQ

Email marketing questions

Should we use Klaviyo or HubSpot for email?

Klaviyo usually fits stores that sell online only. HubSpot fits companies where email sits next to sales reps, service or account managers. We work in both and recommend one after we see how you sell.

Which email flows should an online store set up first?

Start with a welcome series, cart and browse reminders, and a post-purchase series. Add win-back and reorder or cross-sell flows once those are working.

Do you write and design the emails?

Yes. We write the copy, design the emails, set the rules and timing, and test them. You approve everything before it goes live.

Do you run SMS too?

Yes, in Klaviyo or HubSpot. We use texts for urgent messages and your most engaged customers, and set rules so people don't get the same message twice.

How do you measure email results?

For stores, we report revenue from flows and campaigns, checked against Shopify orders. For sales-led companies, we report the deals email helped create or move forward in HubSpot. You get the numbers in plain English every month.

Can you move us from Klaviyo to HubSpot?

Yes, or the other way. We move lists, consent records, templates and flows, and rebuild the automations in the new tool. Charlie Hustle moved from Klaviyo to HubSpot to run email, SMS and service in one place.

Why are our emails going to spam?

Usually it's a mix of missing domain settings, old or bought lists, and sending the same email to everyone too often. We check each of these in the first two weeks and fix them first.

On the call we'll look at your flows and campaigns and point out the gap that's costing you the most orders or deals.
