What was in the way
Photon Brothers designs, sells and installs home solar in Colorado. Every install touches several systems, including design software, inventory, finance, and the local utility and permit office. Those systems didn't share data well.
Earlier integrations kept breaking. Staff filled the gaps by typing the same details into more than one place, which cost time and invited mistakes.
What we did
- Connected OpenSolar to HubSpot. Designs, proposals and signed contracts flow back to each deal in HubSpot and file themselves in Google Drive.
- Matched utilities and permit offices automatically. Every deal links to its utility company and permitting office, with their requirements attached, so the team no longer looks them up by hand.
- Synced orders and inventory. Sales orders go from HubSpot into the inventory system, with an alert when product records don't match.
- Cleaned up deal data. Equipment details copy from quotes onto deals, and every address gets map coordinates.
What changed
Photon saves about 10 hours a week of manual data entry, because deals, designs, orders and files now move between systems on their own. From the first month of the new matching rules, every deal was linked to its utility and permit office automatically.
Sales, design and project teams work from the same deal record. Photon has kept coming back to Push Analytics for new integrations since 2022.
