TikTok Shop ads judged on profit, with a clear point to stop
We run your TikTok Shop and TikTok ad campaigns, set up the tracking, and count every cost TikTok's own reports leave out. Creator and affiliate outreach is available as a scoped add-on when a test calls for it.
Free, 30 minutes, and you'll leave with at least one clear next step.
What does Push Analytics do on TikTok Shop?
We run the paid side and the numbers. That covers TikTok Shop ad campaigns, TikTok ads that send people to your Shopify site, and the tracking behind both. You also get a profit report that takes out TikTok's fees, free samples, creator commissions and shipping. Each month we plan the creative tests and brief the videos.
Creator management is a separate kind of work. It means recruiting hundreds of creators, shipping samples at volume and hosting live shopping, and some firms do only that. If your plan depends on a big creator program or daily live streams, we'll say so on the first call. You may want a specialist for that piece while we handle ads and measurement. For brands that want to test TikTok Shop on a set budget, we offer a scoped creator and affiliate outreach package, with every sample tracked.

Why TikTok Shop results are hard to read
TikTok Shop can sell a lot fast. The trouble is knowing whether it made money, and whether it took sales from your other channels.
The dashboard shows sales, not profit
TikTok reports gross merchandise value. That figure is before TikTok's referral fee, creator commission, free samples, shipping subsidies and returns.
Samples disappear
Free product goes out to creators with no list of who posted, what it cost or which videos sold. Months later, the return on those samples is unknown.
Orders split across two places
Some buyers check out inside TikTok, and others see a video and buy on your site or search for you on Google. Each report sees only part of it.
One video carries the month
A single post takes off, sales spike for two weeks and then fall back. Without a plan for the next round of creative, the spike looks like a trend.
How a TikTok Shop test runs with us
- Week 1
Pick the products
We choose the products most likely to sell on TikTok, based on price, margin, how well they show on video and what you can afford to sample.
- Week 1
Set the stop rule
Together we agree a budget, an end date and the profit number after every cost that the test must hit.
- Weeks 1 to 2
Set up tracking and the shop
Pixel and server events through Shopify, product catalog sync, and a sheet that logs every sample and creator post.
- Weeks 2 to 8
Run ads and creative tests
Shop campaigns and site campaigns go live with several video angles each. Weak ones get cut fast, and winners get budget.
- End of test
Decide
At the end date we compare profit against the agreed number, including any lift in site and Google sales, and you choose to scale, change or stop.
How do you tell if TikTok is adding sales or moving them?
We look at total orders across TikTok Shop and your Shopify store together, before and during the test. If TikTok Shop sales go up while site sales and branded Google searches hold steady or rise, TikTok is adding customers. If site sales drop by about what TikTok gained, buyers are just checking out in a new place and paying TikTok a fee to do it.
For bigger budgets we run a holdout test, pausing TikTok ads in a set of matched regions and comparing sales with the regions where ads kept running. The method is on our incrementality testing page. All of it rolls into the same daily view we build for ad tracking and reporting, so TikTok sits next to Meta, Google and email.
Where do these results come from?
Our published results come from Meta, Google, email and texts. They are not TikTok Shop results, and we won't dress them up as such. What carries over is the habit of testing. On Veiled Collection, we reviewed results daily and shifted spend to whatever was working. On Baked Bouquet, shoppers didn't get the product at first glance, so the ads explained it before asking for the order. Short video rewards both habits.
TikTok tends to suit products that show well in a short video and sell at a price people will buy on impulse. That often includes beauty, fashion and supplements. Our paid ads page covers the other channels we run.
TikTok Shop agency questions
Do you manage TikTok creators and affiliates?
As a scoped add-on, yes. We run outreach to a set number of creators and affiliates each month and track every sample and post. We don't offer talent management, live shopping hosting or large creator programs, and we'll tell you if your plan needs a specialist for that.
What is GMV Max?
It's TikTok's automated campaign type for TikTok Shop ads. It's now the default, and usually the only, way to run Shop sales campaigns. You set a budget and a return goal, and TikTok picks the placements and videos. We feed it strong creative and judge it on profit after fees, not the sales figure it reports.
Should we sell on TikTok Shop or send TikTok traffic to our site?
Often both, tested side by side. TikTok Shop checkout is quick for impulse buys. Your own site keeps the customer's email and full margin. We compare profit per order for each and shift budget to the one that wins.
How long should a TikTok Shop test run?
Long enough to try several rounds of creative, usually six to eight weeks. We set the end date before spending starts, so a slow first week doesn't end the test early and a lucky one doesn't stretch it forever.
Will TikTok Shop take sales away from our website?
It can. Some buyers who would have bought on your site check out in TikTok instead, and you pay TikTok's fee on those orders. We watch total sales across both, so you see whether TikTok is adding customers or just moving them.
Do you make the TikTok videos?
We plan the creative and write the briefs and hooks. Filming comes from your team, your existing footage, customer content or creators you work with. Studio production isn't part of what we offer.
