Shopify Plus marketing and operations

A Shopify Plus marketing agency that also fixes what happens after the order

We run your ads, email and texts and build the reports your team plans from. Then we fix the stock, forecasting and app problems that eat into profit. We don't design themes or build stores, so keep your developer. We'll work alongside them.

Free, 30 minutes, and you'll leave with at least one clear next step.

What a Shopify Plus marketing agency does, and what your developer does

Push Analytics handles

  • Meta, Google, YouTube and TikTok ads, tracked from Shopify orders
  • Klaviyo or HubSpot email and SMS flows and campaigns
  • One daily report with spend, orders, returns and profit per order
  • Ad and email timing for Launchpad drops and sales
  • Operations work like forecasting, reorder points and app clean-up
  • Connecting Shopify to HubSpot for wholesale and service teams

Your developer or build agency handles

  • Theme design and front-end builds
  • Moving your store onto Shopify from another platform
  • Custom checkout extensions and Shopify Functions code
  • Custom apps and headless storefronts
  • Site speed work inside the theme code
  • Store setup for new expansion stores

Why hire a Shopify Plus marketing agency instead of a build agency?

Most people who search for a Shopify Plus agency want a developer, and many good ones exist. Once the store is live, the hard problems move. You want to know which ads pay for themselves, and why revenue climbed while profit stayed flat. You want launches that don't turn into a scramble between the warehouse, the email calendar and the ad accounts. That's the work we do.

Plus features add work across teams. A Launchpad drop needs emails, texts and ad budgets ready the minute the products go live. Plus allows up to nine expansion stores, which splits your numbers across several stores (Shopify). B2B catalogs put wholesale buyers in the same store as shoppers, and they need different follow-up. Someone has to own all of that, and your developer usually isn't the right person.

The problems we see

Problems we see once a brand reaches Shopify Plus

They rarely live in the theme, so a developer can't fix them.

Ads keep spending on sold-out sizes

A best seller sells through its common sizes. The ads keep running and send shoppers to a page with only XS and XXL left. Stock levels were never tied to ad spend.

Drops go live before the emails do

Launchpad flips the products live on time. The email goes out late, the ads still point to last season, and the first hour of demand is wasted.

Wholesale buyers get shopper emails

B2B customers land in the same Klaviyo list as retail shoppers and get 20%-off promos meant for consumers.

Apps doing the same job twice

Two review apps, three upsell apps and a forgotten loyalty app all load on the site and all bill monthly. Each one adds its own tracking, which muddies your numbers.

Wholesale orders make ads look brilliant

A large retailer order lands on Monday, and the ad platforms claim it. Last week's ads look like a hit when they weren't.

Old discount rules quietly stopped

Shopify Scripts stopped running on June 30, 2026. Promotions built on them had to move to Shopify Functions, and some never got checked.

How do you report on several Shopify stores at once?

Plus allows expansion stores, and each new country or channel adds another place for orders to come from. The ad platforms see each store on its own, and an expansion store can report in its own currency. Getting one honest weekly total turns into a spreadsheet job.

We fix that in four steps. First, we match each ad account and each Klaviyo account to the store it sells for. Next, we convert sales to your home currency and keep local numbers for each store's own view. After that, wholesale orders move to their own line. Last, we put total revenue against total ad spend at the top, with returns by store under it.

Once that's in place, each store can be judged on its own. You can see whether the UK store's ads pay for themselves without US orders mixed in. If you run Performance Max across stores, our guide for Shopify stores covers how we keep it honest.

How do you keep wholesale out of your ad results?

Tag every wholesale buyer in Shopify, then report their orders on a separate line. Shopify's B2B tools set up each buyer as a company with its own prices and terms, and that company record is what we use to split the numbers.

The same tag keeps wholesale buyers out of your shopper emails, so a store buyer never gets a discount code meant for consumers. If reps follow up with those accounts, we connect Shopify to HubSpot so each account's order history sits next to the rep's notes.

What should a Plus brand test in checkout first?

Plus lets you change the checkout itself, and it's easy to pay for that and never test it. Start with what shoppers worry about at the last step. That's usually when it will arrive, what shipping costs and whether they can return it. A delivery estimate, a clear free-shipping threshold and a short returns note often move more orders than a new discount.

We judge every test on profit per order. A free-shipping offer that lifts orders but wipes out the margin counts as a loss. Your developer builds the change. We decide what's worth building, then read the result.

What does the operations side look like?

As a brand grows, more of its lost profit sits after the click. For Baked Bouquet, which makes gift bouquets out of cupcakes, we built a daily view of incoming orders next to what the kitchen could make. We also built a holiday forecast that guided hiring and ingredient buying, and it cut food waste.

For Charlie Hustle, a Kansas City apparel brand, we connected Shopify to HubSpot. Each customer is now grouped by the city or team they actually bought from, so service staff and email both see what that fan cares about. If you need someone to run operations week to week rather than a project, see our fractional COO service.

How it works

Your first two weeks with us

  1. Day 1

    Access without the code

Staff access to Shopify reports and orders, plus your ad accounts and Klaviyo. We don't need theme or code access.

  2. Week 1

    Numbers check

We compare what each ad platform and Klaviyo claims with your Shopify orders, store by store.

  3. Week 2

    Priority list

A short list of fixes ranked by profit. Anything that needs code is written up as a clear ticket for your developer.

  4. Ongoing

    Run and report

We run the channels you hand us and send a plain-English report every month on what they earned after returns.

FAQ

Shopify Plus marketing agency questions

What does a Shopify Plus marketing agency cost?

We price each engagement after the first call, once we know which channels you want us to run and how many stores you have.

Do we need Shopify Plus to work with you?

No. Most of what we do works on any Shopify plan. Plus matters when you run expansion stores, sell wholesale through B2B catalogs or schedule drops with Launchpad, because each of those adds marketing and reporting work.

Can you connect our stock levels to our ads?

Yes. We set rules that pull ad spend from products and sizes that are nearly sold out in Shopify. The budget moves to items you have plenty of.

How do you work with our developer?

When a fix needs code, like a tracking change in checkout or a new landing page template, we write it up with what to change and why. Your developer builds it, and we test the tracking once it's live.

Can you keep wholesale and retail customers apart in our marketing?

Yes. We tag B2B customers from Shopify and give them their own email track, or move them into HubSpot if a sales team works those accounts.

Will you change our apps?

We'll recommend it when two apps do the same job or an app costs more than it brings in. You decide, and your developer handles any removal that touches the theme.

What happened to Shopify Scripts?

Shopify stopped letting brands edit Scripts on April 15, 2026, and all Scripts stopped running on June 30, 2026. Shopify Functions replaced them. If your discounts or shipping rules ran on Scripts, check that each promotion still works the way you expect.

Should we use expansion stores or Shopify Markets for a new country?

Markets sells to several countries from one store, which keeps reporting simple. An expansion store is a fully separate store with its own settings, apps and theme, but it splits your numbers. We report either way. The choice usually comes down to how different each country's range is.

Should each Shopify store have its own Klaviyo account?

It depends on whether the stores share customers. Separate brands usually get separate accounts. Country stores selling the same brand often share one, with each list split by store, so no customer gets an email in the wrong currency.

Bring your numbers, not your theme

On the call we'll compare what your ad accounts and Klaviyo claim with your Shopify orders, store by store, and name the first fix.
